Book Name:Narmi Kaisy Paida Karain

Fir’awn to invite him towards Iman (faith), Allah عَزَّوَجَلَّ ordered to speak to him with politeness. It is stated in part 16, Surah Taahaa, Ayah 44:

فَقُوْلَا لَهٗ قَوْلًا لَّیِّنًا لَّعَلَّهٗ یَتَذَكَّرُ اَوْ یَخْشٰى(۴۴)

Translation from Kanz-ul-Iman: ‘So speak to him gently in the hope that he may reflect or have some fear.’

(Part 16, Surah Taahaa, Ayah 44)

In the commentary of this blessed verse, it is stated in Tafseer-e-Khaazin: When you go to Fir’awn, invite him towards good with politeness. According to some Commentators رَحِمَهُمُ الـلّٰـهُ تَـعَالٰی, the reason Sayyiduna Musa عَـلَيْـهِ الـسَّـلاَم was ordered to speak with politeness is because in his childhood, Fir’awn had looked after him and some Commentators رَحِمَهُمُ الـلّٰـهُ تَـعَالٰی have stated that here, politeness means that you make a promise to Fir’awn that if he accepts faith, he will stay young throughout his life and he will never reach old age. He will remain a king until he dies, he will continue to enjoy food, drink and marriage until he dies and after death, he will be granted Heaven also. When Sayyiduna Musa عَـلَيْـهِ الـسَّـلاَم made the above promises to Fir’awn, he was much impressed but he would not make any decision without getting advice from Hamaan (his minister), and at that time, Hamaan was not present (that’s why he did not come to a decision). When Hamaan came, Fir’awn informed him of the promises, upon which Hamaan said, ‘I thought you were a clever person. (But what’s this) you are a god but you want to become a bondsman? You are worshipped but you want to become a worshipper?’ Upon hearing this, Fir’awn replied, ‘You are right (hence he was deprived of faith).’ (Tafseer-e-Khaazin, vol. 3, pp. 254, Taahaa, Taht-al-Ayah: 44)

A glimpse of the mercy of Allah عَزَّوَجَلَّ

Dear Islamic brothers! It is written in Tafseer Siraat-ul-Jinaan: From this verse, we can see a glimpse of the Mercy of Allah عَزَّوَجَلَّ, that He عَزَّوَجَلَّ is showing such mercy to a rebel and disobedient person. So, if His mercy is such to a disobedient person, then imagine the mercy He عَزَّوَجَلَّ would show upon an
