Book Name:How to love Allah even further
Sayyidunā ꜤAbdullāh b. MasꜤūdرَضِىَ اللّٰهُ عَـنْهُ narrated that the Messenger of Allah صَلَّى الـلّٰـهُ عَلَيْهِ وَاٰلِهٖ وَسَلَّم said:
Whoever is made to drink the love of this world shall taste three things: hardship whose fatigue shall not be lessened, greed with which he shall never be content, and desire whose fulfilment he will never attain.
This is because the world is both the seeker and the sought. He who seeks the world shall have the Hereafter seek him until his death, and the world shall seize him when he dies. Whilst, he who seeks the Hereafter shall have the world search for him until he obtains his full provision from it.[1]
A shaykh of Basra once complained to Sayyidah RābiꜤah al-Baṣriyyah رحمۃُ اللہِ علیہا about the world. She replied that he was likely excessively attached to the world because one mentions what they love most frequently. If he had no attachment to the world, he would never speak of it.[2]

Sayyidunā Sahl al-Tustarī رَحْمَةُ الـلّٰـهِ عَـلَيْه states that a sign of love for Allah Almighty is that a person loves the noble Quran. The sign of loving Allah Almighty and the noble Quran is to love the beloved Prophet صَلَّى الـلّٰـهُ عَلَيْهِ وَاٰلِهٖ وَسَلَّم and attaching oneself to his Sunnah. The sign of love for the beloved Prophet صَلَّى الـلّٰـهُ عَلَيْهِ وَاٰلِهٖ وَسَلَّم is adhering to his Sunnah.[3]
We too must have sincere love for the noble Quran, for the truthfulness of love is shown by three things: one regards the beloved’s words as best, the
