While in Canaan, Prophet YaꜤqūb عَـلَيْـهِ الـسَّـلَام perceived the fragrance of Sayyidunā Yusuf’s shirt coming from Egypt.
Prophet Sulaymānعَـلَيْـهِ الـسَّـلَام heard the voice of an ant three miles away.
Sayyidunā Āṣif b. Barkhiyā رَحْمَةُ الـلّٰـهِ عَـلَيْه brought the throne of Bilqīs from Yemen to Syria in the blink of an eye.
While delivering a sermon in Medina, Sayyidunā ꜤUmar b. al-Khaṭṭāb رَضِىَ اللّٰهُ عَـنْهُ made his voice reach all the way to Nahawand.
The beloved Prophet Muhammadصَلَّى الـلّٰـهُ عَلَيْهِ وَاٰلِهٖ وَسَلَّم observed all events that occur until the Day of Judgement with his blessed sight.
All these are manifestations of that divine assistance.”[1]
Dear Islamic brothers! We should work hard to carry out voluntary acts of worship alongside our obligations. Alongside our compulsory fasts, we should keep voluntary fasts, such as on Monday and Thursday.
Along with giving zakat wholeheartedly, we should give voluntary charity—contributing to the construction of masājid, madāris, helping poor Muslims and relatives financially, feeding others, giving water, and spending to spread the call to righteousness.
If only—alongside the obligatory Hajj—we could also attain the honour of performing voluntary Hajj and Umrah. If only—together with the compulsory prayers—we could also perform optional prayers, such as tahajjud and ṣalāt al-ḍuḥā.
صَلُّوۡا عَلَى الۡحَبِيۡب صَلَّى اللّٰهُ عَلٰى مُحَمَّد
