صَلُّوۡا عَلَى الۡحَبِيۡب                 صَلَّى اللّٰهُ عَلٰى مُحَمَّد

Remaining Sunan and etiquettes of gratitude

1. Sayyidunā Abū Sulaymān al-Wāsiṭīرَحْمَةُ الـلّٰـهِ عَـلَيْه  states, “Reflecting upon the blessings of Allah develops love for Him in one’s heart.”[1]

2. Sayyidunā ꜤUmar b. ꜤAbd al-ꜤAzīzرَحْمَةُ الـلّٰـهِ عَـلَيْه  explained, “Preserve the blessings of Allah through gratitude.”[2]

3. Imam al-Ghazālīرَحْمَةُ الـلّٰـهِ عَـلَيْه  writes:

Gratitude of the heart is to intend goodness and righteousness through the blessing you attain. Gratitude of the tongue is to praise and glorify Allah upon receiving the blessing.

The gratitude of the remaining limbs is to use Allah’s blessings to worship Him and prevent them from being used to disobey Him.

The gratitude of the eyes is that when you witness a Muslim’s fault, you conceal it.[3]
