Behtar Kon?

Book Name:Behtar Kon?

pious person who has no sin in his heart, nor arrogance, nor malice, nor envy.”[1]

It is understood that a person whose tongue is truthful, who does not lie, and whose heart is free from arrogance, malice, resentment, or burning envy, is a person of great virtue.

صَلُّوۡا عَلَى الۡحَبِيۡب                                                صَلَّى اللّٰهُ عَلٰى مُحَمَّد

The Excellence of a Sound Heart

Dear Islamic Brothers! In light of this blessed Hadith, let us reflect now: Do we have a truthful tongue and a pure heart? If we are accustomed to speaking the truth and stay miles away from lies, and our hearts are free from envy, malice, or resentment, then we should thank Allah Almighty. If, Allah forbid, this is not the case, if we have a habit of lying, or if our hearts harbour malice, resentment, or envy, then we should be afraid, because lying is the source of sins, and lying is a sin that leads a person to Hell. Similarly, a heart that has the disease of malice, resentment, or envy is very impure, and a person with such a heart may also be deprived of Paradise.

What is a Sound Heart Called?

Allah Almighty states in the Holy Quran:

یَوْمَ لَا  یَنْفَعُ  مَالٌ  وَّ  لَا  بَنُوْنَ (ۙ۸۸)  اِلَّا  مَنْ  اَتَی اللّٰہَ  بِقَلْبٍ سَلِیْمٍ (ؕ۸۹)

The Day when neither wealth nor sons will be of benefit. Except he who comes to Allah with a sound heart.[2]
