Behtar Kon?

Book Name:Behtar Kon?

who is the worst person? It is he whose anger comes quickly but does not subside quickly.

Now let us reflect! To which type do we belong? Does our anger come quickly or slowly? And when anger comes, does it subside quickly, or after a long time, after causing a lot of harm? If, Allah forbid, our anger comes quickly and subsides late, after causing damage, then it is important to eradicate this habit as soon as possible, otherwise, it can cause great harm.

A Specific Gate of Hell

The Beloved Prophetصَلَّى الـلّٰـهُ عَلَيْهِ وَاٰلِهٖ وَسَلَّم  said: "There is a gate of Hell through which only those people will enter whose anger subsides only after disobeying Allah Almighty."[1]

Harms of Anger

When anger comes, one should control oneself. One should adopt the habit of suppressing anger. Otherwise, one may face many harms. The renowned spiritual guide and leader of Ahl al-Sunnah, Mawlana Ilyas Attar al-Qādirī دَامَـتْ بَـرَكَـاتُـهُـمُ الْـعَـالِـيَـهْ writes:

Due to anger, many evils are born that are destructive for the Hereafter, such as: envy, backbiting, tale-bearing, malice, cutting ties, lying, disrespecting others, abusive language, hitting, bullying, mocking, breaking ties of kinship, rejoicing at others' misfortunes, ungratefulness, etc. All of these inner diseases pollute the heart, and they are born due to anger.[2]

Supplication at the Time of Anger
