This is the power of Allah Almighty. Disbelievers considered it impossible for life to be returned to decayed bones. Allah Almighty informed, “It will be a single blast! The horn will be blown, and the dead will rise from their graves alive immediately, even if they are thousands of years old.^[1]

صَلُّوۡا عَلَى الۡحَبِيۡب                                                صَلَّى اللّٰهُ عَلٰى مُحَمَّد

Perfection of faith and passion to strengthen it

Dear Islamic brothers! This Quranic account of how birds returned to life has one aspect we will now focus on. This is, perfection of faith and the passion to make it stronger.

The faith of Prophet Ibrāhīm عَـلَيْـهِ الـسَّـلاَم was already completely perfect and unimaginably strong. Yet, look at his passion to strengthen his already faultlessly strong faith.

He asked Allah Almighty:

بَلٰی وَ لٰکِنْ لِّیَطْمَئِنَّ قَلْبِیْ ؕ

“Of course, but ˹I wish˺ for my heart to be content.”^[2]

Meaning, “O Allah Almighty, You will bring the dead to life. I have firm, complete, perfect faith in this. But, I want to take this to the next level. I have Ꜥilm al-yaqīn in this matter, and now I wish to it attain Ꜥayn al-yaqīn. I have faith in it acquired from revelation, now I wish to witness with my eyes and take it to the next level.^[3]

سُـبْحٰـنَ الـلّٰــه Dear Islamic brothers! This is a beautiful quality of Prophet Ibrāhīm عَـلَيْـهِ الـسَّـلاَم. May we be granted the blessings of this! Despite having complete faith, he still wanted to strengthen it even further. May
