asked this out of doubt, معاذاللہ. Therefore, Allah Almighty brought forth the  clarification on the Prophet’s own tongue.

Allah Almighty declared: اَوَ لَمْ تُؤْمِنْ ؕ - “Do you not have certainty?”[1]

Sayyidunā Ibrāhīm عَـلَيْـهِ الـسَّـلاَم replied: بَلٰی وَ لٰکِنْ لِّیَطْمَئِنَّ قَلْبِیْ ؕ  – “Of course, but ˹I wish˺ for my heart to be content.”[2]

Meaning, “O my Lord, I am certain that You will bring the dead to life. I have Ꜥilm al-yaqīn (i.e., knowledge bestowed through revelation and have complete conviction). But, now I wish to attain Ꜥayn al-yaqīn (i.e., even greater certainty through personally witnessing).”[3]

This Prophetic request was fulfilled by Allah Almighty, Who announced:

O Ibrāhīm! Take four birds, make them familiar with you, [then] slaughter them, make mince of their flesh, then mix them all together, and keep their heads with you. Divide the resulting mince into four parts and place them upon four separate mountains.

ثُمَّ ادْعُہُنَّ

then call them,[4]

Sayyidunā Ibrāhīm عَـلَيْـهِ الـسَّـلاَم did exactly this. He took four birds, made them accustomed to himself, slaughtered them, made mince of their flesh, mixed this all together, then placed it on four different mountains.
