1.      Whoever does not show hospitality has no goodness in them.[1]

2.      It is foolishness for a person to take service from their guest.[2]

3.      The Sunnah is for a person to see their guest to the door when bidding farewell.[3]

*    A guest should keep the schedule and responsibilities of his host in mind.

*    A guest should bear in mind his host’s preoccupations and responsibilities. Ṣadr al-SharīꜤah, Muftī Amjad ꜤAlī al-AꜤẓamī رَحْمَةُ الـلّٰـهِ عَـلَيْه states, “Four matters are necessary for a guest: 1) to sit wherever he is told, 2) be content with whatever he is given, 3) not leave without the permission of the host, 4) and supplicate for the host when leaving.[4]
