اَلْـحَمْـدُ لـِلّٰـه  Every year from the 6th of Rajab, the day Khāja Muʿīn al-Dīn Chishtī passed away, Mawlana Ilyas Attar al-Qadiri conducts six Madani Muzakarahs to commemorate this. In these, he discusses the saints of Islam and a host of other Islamic topics in his own beautiful manner.

He also expresses his admiration by conducting a procession before these six Madani Muzakarahs. This includes poetry extolling Shaykh Muʿīn al-Dīn al-Chishtī.

May Allah preserve our love for the saints! May He grant Mawlana Ilyas Attar al-Qadiri a long life, for the sake of Khāja Gharīb Nawāz!

اٰمِيۡن بِجَاهِ خَاتَمِ النَّبِیّٖن  صَلَّى الـلّٰـهُ عَلَيْهِ وَاٰلِهٖ وَسَلَّم

An introduction to the saintly shaykh

Dear Islamic brothers! Khāja Muʿīn al-Dīn Chishtī رَحْمَةُ الـلّٰـهِ عَـلَيْه is a standout name from the 6th century after hijrah. He was born in 537 AH in Sijz, in the historical region of Sistan. This is also why he commonly has the title Sijzī attached to his name. His birth name is Ḥasan, and his famous titles include Muʿīn al-Dīn, Khāja Gharīb Nawāz, Sulṭān al-Hind, Wārith al-Nabī, and ʿAṭā al-Rasūl.[1]

His title “Khāja” is a Persian word meaning chief or master.[2]

He is also نَجِیبُ الطَّرَفَین – which means both his parents are from the lineage of the Prophet صَلَّى الـلّٰـهُ عَلَيْهِ وَاٰلِهٖ وَسَلَّم. Their ancestry is linked with Alī b. Abī Ṭālib رَضِىَ الـلّٰـهُ عَـنْهُ twelve generations prior.[3]

Khāja Muʿīn al-Dīn Chishtī passed away at the age of 96, on Monday the 6th of Rajab 633 AH. His students were waiting for him, their
