Book Name:Hum Nay Karbala Se Kia Seekha
patience and forbearance is necessary. We must be able to endure, and we cannot rely on others for our success. We must believe in ourselves but avoid overconfidence.’”
The Islamic brother continues:
As the teacher explained the lessons of the story, I thought about the events of Karbala. When the lecture ended, I spontaneously said, “The events of Karbala teach us all of this. Imam Ḥusayn رَضِىَ الـلّٰـهُ عَـنْهُ displayed patience, forbearance, endurance, self-belief and other important traits. These things may not have been written by Imam Ḥusayn رَضِىَ الـلّٰـهُ عَـنْهُ, but he showed us when they were necessary to uphold.”
The teacher was surprised at first, but he agreed, “Yes! This is true! The European intellectual taught us about this through a written story, whereas Imam Ḥusayn رَضِىَ الـلّٰـهُ عَـنْهُ was a perfect example of someone who possessed these qualities and exhibited them in his actions.”
