The way in which this occasion is celebrated is that young males and females meet shamelessly and without being veiled properly. The queues in the gift shops and florists increase, and from amongst those who purchase these things are young men and women. Due to there not being open permission in Muslim countries, these young couples search for a safe place where they can fulfil their unlawful desires. To this end, hotel bookings on Valentine’s Day increase as compared to other days. Allah Forbid! The sale of alcohol increases and there is a great display of shamelessness that takes place on the beaches.
Those countries in which the non-Muslims are free (free from religious and moral restrictions) to do every act of immodesty that they wish, under the law, even they become fed up at times, and protest against such events. However, it is a matter of great sorrow and regret that, just like the non-Muslims, many Muslims are also involved in such acts of immodesty; they throw aside the pure commandments of Allah Almighty and His Beloved Messenger صَلَّى الـلّٰـهُ عَلَيْهِ وَاٰلِهٖ وَسَلَّم by openly committing sins, which not only fills their book of deeds with sins, but stains the pure Muslim society with their filth.
