What is the Pious Deeds booklet?
Remember! In the religious environment of Dawat-e-Islami, accountability of one’s deeds or accountability is performed by acting upon the 72 Pious Deeds booklet. This means that a person should think over his daily practices from the point of view of the Hereafter. Then he should try to reform and refrain from anything which will prove to be harmful to him in both worlds. He should also take steps to bring improvement in the activities which will benefit and better his affairs in the Hereafter. Observing this action steadfastly brings abundant blessings. It is for this reason that our pious predecessors رَحِمَهُمُ الـلّٰـهُ used to do take accountability of their deeds very consistently and would not become negligent in it at all.

When he would talk, his style would be such as if he had been telling about the conditions of the Hereafter after seeing it with his own eyes, and when he would remain quiet it seemed as if fire had been blazing before his eyes. When he was asked about the reason for being so sad and frightened, he replied: ‘I fear that if Allah Almighty becomes displeased with me by seeing some of my bad deeds and states: ‘Go! I
