Book Name:Naik Amaal Raahe Nijaat
and students act upon the Pious Deeds booklet daily. By virtue of its blessing, the obstacles in the way of becoming righteous and avoiding sins are removed, by the grace and favour of Allah Almighty. Moreover, we should also make up our mind to act upon the Sunnah regularly, develop a hatred sin and protect our faith.
The Pious Deeds booklet contains a collection of different deeds. Some are Fard, some Wajib, some Sunnah and others Mustahab. By acting upon all of these, one will find himself on the path to Paradise, and attain salvation from the Hellfire, all with the grace and mercy of Allah Almighty. One particular Pious Deed we can discuss, is one regarding good intentions. As such, it is written:
1. Today, have you made at least one good intention before performing some permissible deeds? (May we encourage someone else to do this too! ‘Pious deed’ will be regarded as performed if a good intention is made before three deeds.)
Dear Islamic brothers! Remember! The intention of gaining reward in the Hereafter is necessary for the deed to be accepted. In Ayah 19 of Surah Bani Israel, Part 15, Allah Almighty has stated:
وَ مَنْ اَرَادَ الْاٰخِرَةَ وَ سَعٰى لَهَا سَعْیَهَا وَ هُوَ مُؤْمِنٌ فَاُولٰٓىٕكَ كَانَ سَعْیُهُمْ مَّشْكُوْرًا(۱۹)
And whosoever desires the Hereafter, and strives for it as it should be striven for and is a believer; so, only their effort is appreciated.
[Kanz-ul-Iman (translation of Quran)] (Part 15, Surah Bani Israel, verse 19)
Regarding this blessed Ayah, a renowned commentator of the Holy Quran, Allamah Maulana Sayyid Muhammad Na’eemuddin Muradabadi رَحْمَةُ الـلّٰـهِ عَـلَيْه has stated: Three things are required for a deed to be accepted.
