Naik Amaal Raahe Nijaat

Book Name:Naik Amaal Raahe Nijaat

Regarding this blessed Ayah, it is stated in Tafseer Ibn-e-Kaseer: Make your own accountability before your accountability is made, and think about how many good deeds you have accumulated to present in the court of Allah Almighty on the Day of Judgement. (Tafseer Ibn-e-Kaseer, Part 28, Surah Al-Hashr, under the verse 18, vol. 8, p. 106)

In blessed AHadith, the Beloved Messenger صَلَّى الـلّٰـهُ عَلَيْهِ وَاٰلِهٖ وَسَلَّم has also encouraged us many times to take accountability of our own deeds. Let’s listen to three sayings of the Beloved Messenger صَلَّى الـلّٰـهُ عَلَيْهِ وَاٰلِهٖ وَسَلَّم in this regard:

Three blessed sayings of the Beloved Messenger صَلَّى الـلّٰـهُ عَلَيْهِ وَاٰلِهٖ وَسَلَّم about accountability

1.   اِذَا هَمَمۡتَ بِاَمۡرٍ فَتَدَبَّرۡ عَاقِبَتَهُ فَاِنۡ كَانَ رُشۡدًا فَاَمۡضِهٖ وَ اِنۡ كَانَ غَيًّا فَانۡتَهِ عَنۡهُ:  ‘When you desire to do something, think about its outcome. If it is good, then perform it, and if its outcome is bad, refrain from it. (Kanz-ul-‘Ummal, vol. 3, p. 101, Hadith 5676)

2.   For a wise person there should be a moment in which he makes accountability of his Nafs. (Shu’ab-ul-Iman, vol. 4, p. 164, Hadith 4677)

3.   فِكۡرَةُ سَاعَةٍ خَيۡرٌ مِّنۡ عِبَادَةِ سِتِّيۡنَ سَنَةً: To ponder over (the matters of Hereafter) for a moment is better than the worship of 60 years.

(Al-Jami’-us-Sagheer, p. 365, Hadith 5897)

Dear Islamic brothers! Have you heard that we have been greatly persuaded to make accountability in the Holy Quran and blessed AHadith! So, if we want to succeed in the Hereafter, we should think deeply as to how many virtuous deeds we have performed to please our Merciful Allah Almighty. Every one of us should form the habit of filling in the 72 Pious Deeds booklet daily, without missing a day. Otherwise, we might die in the same state of heedlessness and be left with nothing but regret, Allah Almighty forbid.
