i.     Becoming seeker of the Hereafter, that is, righteous intention

ii.    Making an effort, that is, performing the deed correctly fulfilling all its obligations

iii.   Faith, which is most essential.

The Beloved Prophet صَلَّى الـلّٰـهُ عَلَيْهِ وَاٰلِهٖ وَسَلَّم has said:

1.   Deeds depend on intentions, and for every person there is the same for which he makes intention. (Bukhari, vol. 1, p. 6, Hadith 1)

Regarding this blessed Hadith, the commentator of Bukhari, Mufti Muhammad Shareef-ul-Haq Amjadi رَحْمَةُ الـلّٰـهِ عَـلَيْه has said: ‘The meaning of this blessed Hadith, is that the reward for deeds depends on intention; without intention there is no right of reward.’ (Nuzhat-ul-Qaari, vol. 1, p. 172)

Dear Islamic brothers! From the above-mentioned blessed Hadith, we have understood the importance and excellence of intention. We, therefore, should make good intentions before every permissible and righteous work for the sake of attaining reward so that by virtue of its blessings, we can record an abundance of good deeds.

*   Similarly, another Pious Deed is that: Today, have you offered the five daily Salahs with Jama’at (congregation)? (May we never miss offering Salah in the first row with Takbeer-e-Oola [i.e., the primary Takbeer]

About this Pious Deed, Ameer-e-Ahl-e-Sunnat دَامَـتْ بَـرَكَـاتُـهُـمُ الْـعَـالِـيَـه has stated in his booklet, ‘Method of becoming Righteous’: ‘If someone acts upon only this Pious Deed in a proper way, he will succeed.’
