Book Name:Hajj Kay Fazail or Is Kay Ahkamaat
spend his time in abundant worship, recitation of the Quran and other righteous actions, for the reward of one good deed is equal to 100,000 good deeds in Makkah Mukarramah. Hence, it is narrated from Sayyiduna Hassan Al-Basri رَحْمَةُ الـلّٰـهِ عَلَيْه that ‘The fast of one day in Makkah Mukarramah is equal to 100,000 fasts. Giving one Dirham in charity is equal to 100,000 Dirhams. Likewise, every good deed is equal to 100,000 good deeds.’ (Ihya-ul-‘Uloom, vol. 1, p. 734, summarised)
We should also light the lantern of Prophetic love within our hearts, establish the longing for Hajj and visiting Madinah Munawwarah within our hearts, and have hope in the mercy of the Beloved Prophet صَلَّى الـلّٰـهُ عَلَيْهِ وَاٰلِهٖ وَسَلَّم; اِنْ شَــآءَالـلّٰـه the sinners will also be graced and we too will visit Madinah one day.
Dear Islamic brothers! Just as there are many virtues of performing Hajj, there are equally many warnings for those who do not perform it despite it being Fard upon them.
Not performing Hajj is the cause of a bad death
The Beloved Prophet صَلَّى الـلّٰـهُ عَلَيْهِ وَاٰلِهٖ وَسَلَّم said, ‘The one who is not prevented from performing Hajj due to an apparent need, neither is the ruler a tyrant nor does he have an illness that prevents him, and then he died without performing Hajj, it makes no difference whether he dies as a Jew or a Christian.’ (Sunan Daarimi, vol. 2, p. 45, Hadith 1785)
Thus, we learn that the one who was negligent of performing Hajj despite it being Fard, and died without performing Hajj, there is a severe risk of him having a bad death.
Dear Islamic brothers! Remember that travelling for the purpose of Hajj, Umrah and visiting Madinah is a great honour and a matter of fortune, and undoubtedly, it is a great bounty of Allah Almighty that His special mercy remains with the visitors of the Haramayn
