Book Name:Hajj Kay Fazail or Is Kay Ahkamaat
Sayyiduna Sa’eed Bin Jubayr رَضِىَ الـلّٰـهُ عَـنْهُ stated, ‘The one who falls ill for one day in Makkah, Allah Almighty grants him reward for the righteous actions which he had performed for 7 years (but cannot perform due to his illness), and if he (the ill person) is a traveller, he will be granted double reward.’ (Ibid)
The Messenger of Allah صَلَّى الـلّٰـهُ عَلَيْهِ وَاٰلِهٖ وَسَلَّم said, ‘The one who had the intention of Hajj or Umrah, and he died in the Haramayn, i.e. Makkah or Madinah, Allah Almighty will raise him on the Day of Judgement in such a state that there will be no accountability upon him nor any punishment.’ In another narration, it is stated, ‘He will be raised among the people of safety.’ (Musannaf Abdur Razzaq, vol. 9, p. 174, Hadith 17479)
Remain cautious in Makkah Mukarramah
The rain of mercy continues to pour down in Makkah Mukarramah, the door of generosity never closes and the seeker never returns deprived. One good deed in the Haram of Makkah is equal to 100,000 good deeds, and equally one sin there is equal to 100,000 sins. Alas! Despite knowing this, sins are committed there audaciously. For example, performing Istinja whilst facing or having your back towards to the Qiblah is Haraam, unlawful gazing, shaving the beard, backbiting, tale-telling, lying, breaking promises, hurting the feelings of a Muslim without a Shar’i reason, coarse speech which causes harm; whilst committing all of these sins, most people do not even realise that they are making preparations for Hell.
If a person spoke a lie, hurt the feelings of another without a Shar’i reason, committed backbiting or lied just once in the Haram of Makkah, it is as though he committed this sin 100,000 times in another place. A person probably does not commit this sin 100,000 times throughout his entire life when in his own country. Therefore, we should protect ourselves from these sins, and engage ourselves in abundant worship, recitation of the Quran and Tawaf of the Ka’bah
