forgiveness before he enters his home, for he has been forgiven.’ (Mishkat-ul-Masabih, vol. 1, p. 472, Hadith 2538)

4.   He صَلَّى الـلّٰـهُ عَلَيْهِ وَاٰلِهٖ وَسَلَّم said, ‘Whosoever goes out with the intention of performing Hajj, and then dies, Allah Almighty will record for him the reward of the one who performs Hajj until the Day of Judgement; and whosoever goes out with the intention of performing Umrah and then dies, Allah Almighty will record for him the reward of the one who performs Umrah until the Day of Judgement.’ (Musnad Abi Ya’la, Musnad Abi Hurayrah, vol. 5, p. 441, Hadith 6327)

صَلُّوۡا عَلَى الۡحَبِيۡب                                  صَلَّى اللّٰهُ عَلٰى مُحَمَّد

Dear Islamic brothers! You have heard how Allah Almighty showers His grace upon the Hajis such that He forgives all of their sins, He grants them the glad tidings of forgiveness, and through the blessings of the Haji’s Du’as, there is a strong hope of forgiveness for the people; and the one who goes out with the intention of Hajj and dies on the way, the reward of Hajj is recorded for him until the Day of Judgement. Remember! Visiting Makkah Mukarramah and Madinah Munawwarah is an invaluable opportunity which is only granted to the fortunate; how many rich people have dreams of London and Paris day and night, and some of them even feel delight by roaming in those countries, yet despite having the means, they remain deprived of fulfilling the important obligation of Hajj and the honour of visiting the resting place of the Beloved Prophet صَلَّى الـلّٰـهُ عَلَيْهِ وَاٰلِهٖ وَسَلَّم. However, there are many devotees of Makkah and Madinah who despite being extremely poor, make sincere Du’as with steadfastness, and Allah Almighty accepts their Du’as and grants them the honour of Hajj and visiting Madinah.

The fortunate person who has this honour ought to thank Allah Almighty upon his fortune, and remember his sins during this journey whilst keeping his focus on the mercy of Allah Almighty, and not waste the blessed moments of this journey by considering it merely an outing like other journeys. As soon as he arrives into the Haram, he should
