Andheri Qabar

Book Name:Andheri Qabar

by Allah’s Beloved Messenger صَلَّى الـلّٰـهُ عَلَيْهِ وَاٰلِهٖ وَسَلَّم himself.  He (Usman) is the noble personality before whom even the innocent angels express modesty. Despite these exceptional qualities he used to remain deeply fearful regarding the terror, bewilderment, loneliness and darkness of the grave. On the other hand, we have completely forgotten the grave; we do not consider the fact that one day our funeral shall take place despite hearing numerous funeral announcements in the Masjids, witnessing funeral processions, washing dead bodies, attending funeral prayers, lowering the dead into the grave and thereafter placing soil upon the grave with our very hands. Undoubtedly, these funerals are like silent preachers for us.

صَلُّوۡا عَلَى الۡحَبِيۡب                                  صَلَّى اللّٰهُ عَلٰى مُحَمَّد

Graves are apparently similar but…

O devotees of the Beloved Messenger! You must have visited the graveyard at some point in your lives. These graves which seem to be similar from above are not necessarily the same within. Yes, if the one who is buried under this soil was a person who prayed, observed the fasting of Ramadan, paid his full Zakat (when eligible), earned Halal (lawful) sustenance, recited the Holy Quran, adopted humility, expressed good character, adhered to the Sunnah, obeyed parents, fulfilled the rights of people, loved Allah عَزَّوَجَلَّ and His Beloved Messenger صَلَّى الـلّٰـهُ عَلَيْهِ وَاٰلِهٖ وَسَلَّم, honoured the Prophetic Companions, the Prophetic Household and the noble Saints then the apparent small mound of soil may possibly be as vast as the extent of vision from within by virtue of the grace of Allah عَزَّوَجَلَّ and His Messenger صَلَّى الـلّٰـهُ عَلَيْهِ وَاٰلِهٖ وَسَلَّم; the door of Paradise may be open therein meaning that this mound of soil may have a beautiful heavenly garden beneath it. In contrast, if, Allah عَزَّوَجَلَّ forbid, the one who is buried under this mound of soil did not pray, intentionally abandoned the fasting of Ramadan, adopted stinginess when Zakat was due, earned Haram (unlawful)
