ferociously. They were always pursuing to persecute the Beloved Prophet صَلَّى اللهُ تَعَالٰى عَلَيْهِ وَاٰلِهٖ وَسَلَّم.
Strangling with mantle
Once
the malevolent and wicked non-believers were sitting under the shade of blessed
Ka’bah and the Beloved Prophet
صَلَّى
اللهُ تَعَالٰى عَلَيْهِ وَاٰلِهٖ وَسَلَّم was busy offering Salah (near the Maqaam-e-
Ibrahim عَـلٰى
نَبِـيِّـنَا وَ عَـلَيْـهِ الـصَّلٰوة ُ وَالـسَّلَام). A
non-believer, Uqbah Abi Mu’eet, wrapped the mantle around the blessed
neck of the Beloved Rasool صَلَّى اللهُ تَعَالٰى عَلَيْهِ وَاٰلِهٖ وَسَلَّم and
twisted it with a view to strangle him. Sayyiduna Abu Bakr Siddiq رَضِىَ اللهُ
تَعَالٰی عَـنْهُ came running, intervened and dragged him
(i.e. Uqbah Bin Abi Mu’eet) back while reciting the following blessed verse of
Glorious Quran:
اَتَقۡتُلُوۡنَ رَجُلًا اَنۡ یَّقُوۡلَ رَبِّیَ اللّٰہُ وَ قَدۡ جَآءَکُمۡ بِالۡبَیِّنٰتِ مِنۡ رَّبِّکُمۡ ؕ
‘What! You want to kill a man just because he says, ‘Allah عَزَّوَجَلَّ is my Lord’ whereas he has indeed brought clear signs to you from your Lord’.
[Translation of Kanz-ul-Iman] (Part. 24, Surah Al-Mu’min, verse 28) (pp. 27)
The Noblest Prophet صَلَّى اللهُ تَعَالٰى عَلَيْهِ وَاٰلِهٖ وَسَلَّم, one day came out of his blessed house, whoever non-believer came across him whether he was a slave or freeman would hurt him.
