Surah Al Maidah Ayat 55-56 Translation Tafseer

Para 6 - لَا یُحِبُّ اللّٰهُ

سورة الماىدة

بِسْمِ اللّٰهِ الرَّحْمٰنِ الرَّحِیْمِ

5.55-56

اِنَّمَا وَلِیُّكُمُ اللّٰهُ وَ رَسُوْلُهٗ وَ الَّذِیْنَ اٰمَنُوا الَّذِیْنَ یُقِیْمُوْنَ الصَّلٰوةَ وَ یُؤْتُوْنَ الزَّكٰوةَ وَ هُمْ رٰكِعُوْنَ(55) وَ مَنْ یَّتَوَلَّ اللّٰهَ وَ رَسُوْلَهٗ وَ الَّذِیْنَ اٰمَنُوْا فَاِنَّ حِزْبَ اللّٰهِ هُمُ الْغٰلِبُوْنَ۠ (56)

Kanz-ul-Irfan

Only Allah is your friend, and His Messenger, and those who believe who establish the prayer and give zakat and are ˹submissively˺ bowing before Allah.[1] And whosoever adopts friendship with Allah, and His Messenger, and the believers, then indeed only the group of Allah is predominant.

Commentary

After the subject of prohibited friendship, now the friendship which is necessary is mentioned. The ruling stated in this verse is general for Muslims; all should express admiration for one another.
