Surah Al Hajj Ayat 75 Translation Tafseer

Para 17 - اِقْتَرَبَ لِلنَّاسِ

سورة الحج

بِسْمِ اللّٰهِ الرَّحْمٰنِ الرَّحِیْمِ

22.75

اَللّٰهُ یَصْطَفِیْ مِنَ الْمَلٰٓىٕكَةِ رُسُلًا وَّ مِنَ النَّاسِؕ-اِنَّ اللّٰهَ سَمِیْعٌۢ بَصِیْرٌۚ (75)

Kanz-ul-Irfan

Allah chooses Messengers from angels and people[1]—Allah is All-Hearing, All-Seeing.

Commentary

It is the way of Allah Almighty to select messengers from among the humans for the guidance of people, however, this does not mean that He will continue to select people as messengers after the arrival of the Beloved Prophet صَلَّى الـلّٰـهُ عَلَيْهِ وَاٰلِهٖ وَسَلَّم. Allah Almighty has already chosen His messengers, and Allah Almighty has finalised prophethood with the Prophet Muhammad صَلَّى الـلّٰـهُ عَلَيْهِ وَاٰلِهٖ وَسَلَّم, thus, no new prophet will arrive until the Day of Judgement. The Beloved Prophet صَلَّى الـلّٰـهُ عَلَيْهِ وَاٰلِهٖ وَسَلَّم said, “Indeed, messengership and prophethood has ended; there will not be any messenger nor any prophet after me.” (Sunan Al-Tirmidhi: 2279)
