Surah Al Hajj Ayat 28 Translation Tafseer

Para 17 - اِقْتَرَبَ لِلنَّاسِ

بِسْمِ اللّٰهِ الرَّحْمٰنِ الرَّحِیْمِ

22.28

لِّیَشْهَدُوْا مَنَافِعَ لَهُمْ وَ یَذْكُرُوا اسْمَ اللّٰهِ فِیْۤ اَیَّامٍ مَّعْلُوْمٰتٍ عَلٰى مَا رَزَقَهُمْ مِّنْۢ بَهِیْمَةِ الْاَنْعَامِۚ-فَكُلُوْا مِنْهَا وَ اَطْعِمُوا الْبَآىٕسَ الْفَقِیْرَ٘ (28)

Kanz-ul-Irfan

That they may witness their benefits and they remember the name of Allah during known days, that He granted them sustenance through livestock; so, eat from them[1] and feed the afflicted, one in dire need.

Commentary

[1]

“Remember the name of Allah Almighty” is a directive for hajj-pilgrims to mention the name of Allah Almighty when slaughtering the sacrificial animals or praise, thank, and glorify Allah Almighty for the blessing He bestowed upon them by granting them sustenance through livestock. Also, “known days” refers to the ten days of Dhul Hijjah or its prescribed days of sacrifice.
