Surah Al Fath Ayat 29 Translation Tafseer

Para 26 - حٰمٓ

سورة الفتح

بِسْمِ اللّٰهِ الرَّحْمٰنِ الرَّحِیْمِ

48.29

مُحَمَّدٌ رَّسُوْلُ اللّٰهِؕ-وَ الَّذِیْنَ مَعَهٗۤ اَشِدَّآءُ عَلَى الْكُفَّارِ رُحَمَآءُ بَیْنَهُمْ تَرٰىهُمْ رُكَّعًا سُجَّدًا یَّبْتَغُوْنَ فَضْلًا مِّنَ اللّٰهِ وَ رِضْوَانًا٘-سِیْمَاهُمْ فِیْ وُجُوْهِهِمْ مِّنْ اَثَرِ السُّجُوْدِؕ-ذٰلِكَ مَثَلُهُمْ فِی التَّوْرٰىةِ ﳝ- وَ مَثَلُهُمْ فِی الْاِنْجِیْلِ ﱠ كَزَرْعٍ اَخْرَ جَ شَطْــٴَـهٗ فَاٰزَرَهٗ فَاسْتَغْلَظَ فَاسْتَوٰى عَلٰى سُوْقِهٖ یُعْجِبُ الزُّرَّاعَ لِیَغِیْظَ بِهِمُ الْكُفَّارَؕ-وَعَدَ اللّٰهُ الَّذِیْنَ اٰمَنُوْا وَ عَمِلُوا الصّٰلِحٰتِ مِنْهُمْ مَّغْفِرَةً وَّ اَجْرًا عَظِیْمًا۠ (29)

Kanz-ul-Irfan

Muhammad is the Messenger of Allah; and those who are with him are severe against the disbelievers, merciful to one another. You will see them bowing, prostrating, and seeking grace and acceptance from Allah. Their sign is on their faces from the effect of prostration; that is their description in the Taurāt (Torah) and their description in the Injīl (Gospel). [1] Like a field which sent forth its shoot, then strengthened it so became firm, then it stood straight upon its stem; pleasing to planters. In this way, ˹Allah has elevated the Muslims˺ to dismay the disbelievers. [2] Allah has promised those who believe and perform righteous deeds among them forgiveness and great reward. [3]

Commentary

Numerous attributes of the Noble Companions رَضِیَ الـلّٰـهُ عَنْهُم as well as their excellence and greatness were mentioned in this verse : 1. They are stern towards the disbelievers; 2. They are gentle hearted amongst themselves and compassionate towards one another; 3. They offer prayers in abundance and punctually; 4. They desire the grace of Allah and His contentment; 5. The sign of their worship is apparent on their faces through the mark of their prostrations; 6. Their attributes are even mentioned in the Torah and the Gospel; 7. There are glad tidings of forgiveness and great reward for them.

The rank of the Noble Companions رَضِیَ الـلّٰـهُ عَنْهُم in the court of Allah Almighty is very elevated and He Himself has mentioned their excellences and attributes by which He enraged the hearts of the disbelievers. To mention the excellence of the Companions is the Sunnah of Allah Almighty and to become infuriated with the Companions رَضِیَ الـلّٰـهُ عَنْهُم is the way of the disbelievers.

All the Noble Companions رَضِیَ الـلّٰـهُ عَنْهُم are bearers of faith and those who perform righteous actions. Hence, this promise of forgiveness and great reward is for all the Prophetic Companions رَضِیَ الـلّٰـهُ عَنْهُم.
