Curse of being away from worship

Sayyidunā Maqil b. Yasār رَضِىَ الـلّٰـهُ عَـنْهُ reports that the Prophet صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَاٰلِهٖ وَسَلَّم said:

Your Lord says, ‘O son of Ādam! Free yourself for My worship, and I will fill your heart with contentment and your hands with sustenance. O son of Ādam! Do not distance yourself from My worship, otherwise I will fill your heart with neediness and keep your hands busy with worldly affairs.’[2]

Love of the world causes loss in the Hereafter

Sayyidunā Abū Mūsā al-Asharī رَضِىَ الـلّٰـهُ عَـنْهُ reports that the Prophetصَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَاٰلِهٖ وَسَلَّم said, “Whoever loves the world harms his Hereafter, and whoever loves the Hereafter harms his world. So, give preference to the everlasting (Hereafter) over the temporary (world).” [3]

Allah Almighty causes the servant to avoid the world

Sayyidunā Mamūd b. Labīd رَضِىَ الـلّٰـهُ عَـنْهُ narrates that the Prophet صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَاٰلِهٖ وَسَلَّم said, “Allah Almighty makes His servant abstain from the world in the same way that you make your sick avoid eating and drinking [harmful things].”[4]

صَلُّوۡا عَلَى الۡحَبِيۡب                             صَلَّى اللّٰهُ عَلٰى مُحَمَّد

World is like sand!

O lovers of the Prophet! You have heard how those who love this world are strongly condemned. Therefore, it is necessary for us not to strive solely for the world, but also to accumulate good deeds for the Hereafter because the world is like sand. No matter how much sand you grasp in your hand, all the
