Which dunyā is good and which is condemnable?
Dear Islamic brothers! Remember! There are three types of worldly things:
1. There are only two worldly things that help a person in the Hereafter and their benefit is obtained even after death: knowledge and deeds. “Deeds” refers to worshipping Allah Almighty with sincerity.
2. The things whose benefit is limited only to the world and which yield no benefit in the Hereafter, such as taking pleasure in sins, and deriving more benefit than necessary from permissible things, for example, land, property, gold, silver, fine clothes, and delicious foods, are all included in the condemnable category of dunyā.
3. Those things which help in performing virtuous deeds, like eating a sufficient amount of food, clothes, etc. This category is also good, but if the sole aim is immediate worldly benefit and pleasure, then in that case, this dunyā is condemnable.[4]
