! What an extraordinary rank and blessing! Even seeing the beloved Prophet  صَلَّى الـلّٰـهُ عَلَيْهِ وَاٰلِهٖ وَسَلَّم   in a dream is a tremendous blessing. It is such a gift that true devotees of the Prophet are ready to sacrifice their lives just to attain it.

Beholding the Prophet صَلَّى الـلّٰـهُ عَلَيْهِ وَاٰلِهٖ وَسَلَّم   is a magnificent blessing for which his devoted followers yearn, weep, and cry profusely. Yet look at the good fortune of Imam al-Suyūṭī al-ShāfiꜤī  رَحْمَةُ الـلّٰـهِ عَـلَيْه ! He was granted this honour not merely in dreams, but while fully awake, in a state of complete consciousness, and not just once, but 77 times.

صَلُّوۡا عَلَى الۡحَبِيۡب                                     صَلَّى اللّٰهُ عَلٰى مُحَمَّد

Imam al-Suyūṭī  رَحْمَةُ الـلّٰـهِ عَـلَيْه  is destined for Paradise

Imam Jalāl al-Dīn al-Suyūṭī  رَحْمَةُ الـلّٰـهِ عَـلَيْه narrates:

Once, when I was blessed with the vision of the noble Messenger  صَلَّى الـلّٰـهُ عَلَيْهِ وَاٰلِهٖ وَسَلَّم , I humbly asked: “O Messenger of Allah  صَلَّى الـلّٰـهُ عَلَيْهِ وَاٰلِهٖ وَسَلَّم ! Am I among the people of Paradise?”

He  صَلَّى الـلّٰـهُ عَلَيْهِ وَاٰلِهٖ وَسَلَّم  replied: “Yes [you are of Paradise].”

“I asked: ‘O Messenger of Allah  صَلَّى الـلّٰـهُ عَلَيْهِ وَاٰلِهٖ وَسَلَّم ! Will I enter Paradise without punishment?”

He صَلَّى الـلّٰـهُ عَلَيْهِ وَاٰلِهٖ وَسَلَّم   replied: لَکَ ذٰلِکَ “Yes, for you it is so.” ^[1]

Yearning to behold the beloved Prophet صَلَّى الـلّٰـهُ عَلَيْهِ وَاٰلِهٖ وَسَلَّم

Dear Islamic brothers! Receiving a blessing is indeed an honour, but preserving that blessing is a much greater achievement. Imam Jalāl al-Dīn al-Suyūṭī al-ShāfiꜤī رَحْمَةُ الـلّٰـهِ عَـلَيْه was blessed with the extraordinary gift of beholding the beloved Prophet صَلَّى الـلّٰـهُ عَلَيْهِ وَاٰلِهٖ وَسَلَّم   while awake. To ensure this blessing remained,
