6.Kissing your own hand after shaking hands with someone is makrūh.[1] The Islamic brothers who do this should abandon the habit.
7.If one feels lust when shaking hands with an amrad, it is not permissible to shake their hand. Moreover, if merely looking causes this desire, even looking at them becomes a sin.[2]
8.When shaking hands, the Sunnah is that there should be no barrier like a handkerchief between the hands; both palms should be empty when they meet.[3]
Supplication to recite upon seeing the moon
According to the schedule of Dawat-e-Islami's weekly Sunnah-inspired congregation, the supplication to recite upon seeing the moon will be memorised. It is:
اَعُوْذُ بِاللہِ مِنْ شَرِّ ھٰذَا الْغَاسِقِ
I seek refuge in Allah from the evil of this approaching darkness.[4]
صَلُّوۡا عَلَى الۡحَبِيۡب صَلَّى اللّٰهُ عَلٰى مُحَمَّد
Method of collective accountability (72 Pious Deeds)
The Prophet صَلَّى الـلّٰـهُ عَلَيْهِ وَاٰلِهٖ وَسَلَّم has said, “Pondering ˹over the Hereafter˺ for a moment is better than 60 years of worship.”[5]
