worship, and its first ten nights carry special significance.
Sayyidunā ꜤAbdullāh b. ꜤAbbās رَضِیَ اللهُ عَنْهُمَا narrates that the final Prophet صَلَّى الـلّٰـهُ عَلَيْهِ وَاٰلِهٖ وَسَلَّم announced:
“There are no days in which good deeds are more beloved to Allah than these ˹ten˺ days.”[1]
Good deeds performed during other days are also loved by Allah Almighty. Yet, these first ten days of Dhū al-Ḥijjah are a time in which He especially loves the good deeds we perform.
Another narration explains:
“The reward of good deeds is increased seven hundred times during them.”[2]
Here is another Hadith regarding these ten days:
There are no days in which Allah loves to be worshipped more than the first ten days of Dhū al-Ḥijjah. During them, one fast is equal to the fasting of a year, وَقِيَامُ كُلِّ لَيْلَةٍ مِّنْهَا بِقِيَامِ لَيْلَةِ القَدْرِ and to stand [i.e., stay awake and worship] during any of their nights is equal to standing during the Night of Power.[3]
