completes its rukūꜤ, sujūd, and qirāˈa; his salah says, “May Allah Almighty protect you, as you have protected me.” The salah is then lifted to the skies, bearing a shine and light. The doors of the skies are opened for it until it is presented before Allah Almighty, and it intercedes for the one who offered it.[1]
سُـبْحٰـنَ الـلّٰــه Salah is the most superior act of worship. Now, when this superior act of worship prays for somebody to be protected, why would they not be? Why would the one who offered Salah not receive help from the unseen?
Let’s take a moment to reflect. On the one hand, there is a person to whom salah says, “May Allah ruin you,” and there is another to whom it says, “May Allah protect you.” Now, really and truly think: Which of these two people will receive blessings in their business? Which one will have a peaceful household? There is no doubt that it is the one for whom salah supplicates for his protection.
If we start to offer our salah calmly instead of rushing it, the very things for which we hasten our salah will all be completed perfectly. Yet, due to our desire for doing these things quickly, we rush.
We lose the light and spirituality of salah and our worldly tasks remain incomplete, as salah itself says, “May Allah Almighty ruin you, as you have ruined me.”
May Allah Almighty grant us understanding. Now, no matter what, you must offer your salah! Take time out and prepare for it fully! Decorate your heart with love for Allah Almighty, remember He is watching you, and come to salah with this in mind. اِنْ شَــآءَالـلّٰـه You will then be successful in this world and the Hereafter.
