Encouragement for Pious Deed number 2
Dear Islamic brothers! To make yourself steadfast in salah and other pious deeds, make a habit of filling in the 72 Pious Deeds booklet given to us by Mawlana Ilyas Attar al-Qadiri دَامَـتْ بَـرَكَـاتُـهُـمُ الْـعَـالِـيَـهْ.
اِنْ شَــآءَالـلّٰـه By the blessings of this, you will sense within yourself a clear change. Pious Deed number 2 asks us: “Today, did you offer all five salahs in congregation?”
By acting upon this, اِنْ شَــآءَالـلّٰـه we will become steadfast in Salah. We all should make an intention to fill in the Pious Deeds booklet consistently. We will see the benefits of this اِنْ شَــآءَالـلّٰـه.
صَلُّوۡا عَلَى الۡحَبِيۡب صَلَّى اللّٰهُ عَلٰى مُحَمَّد
Dear Islamic brothers! Let us listen to some Sunnas and manners related to miswak. These were taken from a booklet of Mawlana Ilyas Attar al-Qadiri دَامَـتْ بَـرَكَـاتُـهُـمُ الْـعَـالِـيَـهْ, entitled 163 Madani Pearls.
First, we will begin with two hadith of the Prophet صَلَّى الـلّٰـهُ عَلَيْهِ وَاٰلِهٖ وَسَلَّم:
- Offering two units of salah after using miswak is superior to seventy units without it.”[1]
- Make the usage of a miswak a must for yourself, as it is a means of cleansing the mouth and pleasing Allah Almighty.[2]
* Sayyidunā Ibn ꜤAbbās رَضِیَ اللهُ عَنْهُمَا narrates that miswak contains ten qualities. Some of them are: it cleanses the mouth, strengthens the gums, sharpens the vision, reduces phlegm, does away with
