saying, “Did I offer 30 years of salah in the first row just to show off? Why do I feel this shame and embarrassment today?”

In a display of complete sincerity, he repeated all the salahs he had performed for the past 30 years.[1]

اللہُ اکبر Look at the amazing sincerity! Just because of one thought, he repeated his previous 30 years of salah. Unfortunately, our heedlessness is such that our hearts do not even contain a desire for acts of worship in the first place. Even if we do engage in worship, there is a lack of sincerity or a complete absence of it, which puts our worship at risk.

May Allah Almighty grant us the ability to avoid ostentation and allow us to offer salah only for His sake. اِنْ شَــآءَالـلّٰـه Allah Almighty will be pleased with us and we will gain many blessings.

4) Offer salah with humility

Dear Islamic brothers! An etiquette of salah is that it should be read with humility. Allah Almighty states in the first two verses of Surah al-Muˈminūn:

قَدْ  اَفْلَحَ  الْمُؤْمِنُوْنَ ۙ(۱) الَّذِیْنَ ھُمْ  فِیْ صَلَاتِہِمْ خٰشِعُوْنَ ۙ(۲)

Certainly, the believers have succeeded: those who are deeply humble in salahs;[2]

Regarding this, Tafsīr Ṣirāṭ al-Jinān explains:

In this verse, the believers are given glad tidings that by the grace of Allah Almighty, they have been successful in reaching their goal, and after entering Paradise forever they will be saved from
