Book Name:Qiyamat Ke Din Ke Gawah

Fear of being summoned in the Court of Allah

Shaykh SaꜤdī Shīrāzī رَحْمَةُ الـلّٰـهِ عَلَيْه relates:

Some people were engaged in worship in Masjid al-Ḥaram near the KaꜤbah, when they saw a man clinging to the KaꜤbah walls and weeping bitterly. He was heard saying, “O Allah! If my deeds are undeserving of Your court, then raise me blind on the Day of Judgement.”

People were astonished by this. “We seek safety on the Day of Judgement, and you ask to be raised blind. What is the wisdom behind this?’ they asked.

“If my deeds are unworthy of the divine court, then I would prefer to be raised blind, so I am saved from humiliation before others,” the Shaykh responded.

People were impressed by this profound answer, but they did not recognise the shaykh. When they asked who he was, he replied, “I am ꜤAbd al-Qādir al-Jīlani”, he replied.[1]

Entry into Paradise without accountability

O those who love Allah’s Messenger! May Allah grant us fear of accountability in the Hereafter.  We are not capable of giving account for our deeds. If we are summoned to answer for our deeds, humiliation will be the only outcome. We must always pray that Allah grants us entry into Paradise without accountability, through His mercy and the intercession of His Prophet
