Qiyamat Ke Din Ke Gawah

Book Name:Qiyamat Ke Din Ke Gawah

Manṣūr Ibn ꜤAmmār رَحْمَةُ الـلّٰـهِ عَلَيْه recited the 30th verse of Sūrah Āl ꜤImrān:

یَوۡمَ تَجِدُ کُلُّ نَفۡسٍ مَّا عَمِلَتۡ مِنۡ خَیۡرٍ مُّحۡضَرًا ۚۖۛوَّ مَا عَمِلَتۡ مِنۡ سُوۡٓءٍ ۚ

(Remember) the Day (in) which every soul will be confronted with whatever good it has done and whatever evil it has done;[1]

Caliph ꜤAbd al-Mālik bin Marwān fainted. When he regained consciousness, he said: “O Manṣūr, what is the meaning of these words of Allah:

وَ یُحَذِّرُکُمُ اللّٰہُ نَفۡسَہٗ ؕ

And Allah warns you of His Wrath[2]

“It means that Allah warns people of His seizing(of them),” the saint replied.

The Caliph wept again until he fainted. Then, when he gained consciousness, he said, “By Allah, he who remains disobedient even after considering this verse has gone far astray.”[3]

O those who love Allah’s Messenger! We are Muslims and we believe in the Day of Judgement. We know that there is accountability for every deed on the Day of Judgement, and we know that there will be no excuses at that time.  Despite all this, if we remain rebellious and avoid repentance, then who is more naïve than us? If only we became truly concerned about the Day of Judgement.
