Book Name:Qiyamat Ke Din Ke Gawah
O those who love Allah’s Messenger! Always remember Allah did not create us to be completely carefree. We are governed and bound to laws. First of all, Allah is watching. For people with modesty and shame, the fact Allah is watching them is enough to stop them going anywhere near sin.
There are witnesses who will testify to our deeds, and scholars of Islam mention six witnesses upon mankind on the Day of Judgement.
The Earth is where we spend all our lives. We do not feel any modesty towards it, and carry out all forms of actions upon it, be they permissible or not. Today it shows no response to our conduct, yet on the Day of Judgement, it will testify against us. Allah says in the Quran:
یَوۡمَئِذٍ تُحَدِّثُ اَخۡبَارَہَا ۙ(۴)
On that Day, the earth will narrate (all) its news.[1]
The Companion Abū Hurayrah رَضِىَ الـلّٰـهُ عَـنْهُ mentioned how the final Prophet صَلَّى الـلّٰـهُ عَلَيْهِ وَاٰلِهٖ وَسَلَّم recited this verse and then asked, “Do you know what its news is?”
“Allah and His Messenger know best,” replied the Companions عَـلَيْهِمُ الرِّضْوَانْ.
He then explained, “The news of the earth is its testification of each man and woman’s deeds they performed upon its face. It will say, ‘He did such-and-such deed on such-and-such day.’ This is its news.”[2]
