said: ‘O my Lord! I ask you to recompense me for what oppression this brother of mine enacted upon me.’ Allah Almighty said: ‘What do you desire Me to do with your brother, as all his good deeds have finished.’ The man replied: ‘O my Lord! Remove my sins [and give them to him].’
After saying this, the final Prophet صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَاٰلِهٖ وَسَلَّم began to shed tears. He then went on to state: ‘Indeed, that day will be very difficult. People will want others to bear some of the burden of their sins.’ Allah Almighty then said to the man: ‘Raise your head and look.’ He did so and said: ‘Oh my Lord! I see a city with gold palaces, decorated with pearls. Which Prophet do they belong to? Or which Siddeeq, or which martyr?’ Allah Almighty will then explain: ‘It is for the one who can pay its price.’ ‘O my Lord!’, the man exclaimed, ‘who can pay its price?’
’You can.’, Allah said. ‘How so?’, the man asked, and Allah responded by saying, ‘By forgiving your brother.’ He said: ‘O my Lord! If this is the case, then I forgive him.’ Allah Almighty commanded them by saying: ‘Hold your brother by the hand and take him to Jannah.’”
After explaining this event, the final Prophet صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَاٰلِهٖ وَسَلَّم said: “Fear Allah and make peace among yourselves, as Allah will make peace between the Muslims on the Day of Judgement.”[1]
Message of Imam Ahmad Raza Khan رَحْمَةُ اللهِ عَلَيْه to every Muslim
Imam Ahmad Raza Khan رَحْمَةُ اللهِ عَلَيْه gave one of his followers a letter before the 15th of Sha’baan, containing advice concerning repentance and asking others for forgiveness in regards to their rights.
