to seek religious knowledge. It is also observed that those who have been offering Salah for years, do not even know how to perform Wudu correctly, or they habitually make such mistakes in Salah that invalidate the prayer. Some do not recite the Quran correctly, and others perform Sajda incorrectly.
Some have performed Hajj many times but are unaware of the rulings of Hajj! Some who have been keeping the fasts of Ramadan for years do not even know when the time of suhoor ends. This is our state in regards to the acts of worship. As far as other affairs go, for example, business, Nikah, divorce, or paying someone to do a job, then despite not possessing religious knowledge, people do not generally enquire about what Islam says regarding it, and whether it is permissible or not. The matter of fundamental beliefs is particularly sensitive, for the majority are unaware of critically important things regarding what they believe in. Because of this huge lack of knowledge, they even say words that the scholars have declared to be Kufr (disbelief).
In short, there is widespread ignorance, and there are many issues about which it is Fard to learn, like lying, backbiting, tale-telling, breaking trust, disobeying parents, harming Muslims without a Shar’i reason, and internal diseases such as malice, hatred, pride and envy. However, there are many Muslims who are not even aware of their definitions. We should all strive to attain religious knowledge, and encourage other Muslims to do the same.
Dear Islamic brothers! There are many means of attaining religious knowledge, for example: (1). Joining a Dar-ul-Uloom or the Dars-e-Nizami faculty of a Jamia, and formally studying Islamic knowledge. (2). Gaining knowledge by remaining in the company of the scholars. (3). Reading Islamic books. (4). Listening to lectures of scholars, etc. The more means that we adopt from among these, the more our knowledge will increase, اِنْ شَــآءَالـلّٰـه.
اَلْـحَمْـدُ لـِلّٰـه !Under the supervision of Dawat-e-Islami, there are many Jami’aat known as ‘Jamia-tul-Madina’. By means of which, countless Islamic brothers are taught Dars-e-Nizami (as well as being provided with boarding facilities and food), and Islamic sisters are taught the ‘Aalimah Course’, free of charge. Alongside this, they are also provided with a religious environment in the Jamia, so that those who graduate, graduate as exemplars of knowledge and practice.
