Dear Islamic brothers! Knowledge of the religion is a means of success in this world and the Hereafter. In this regard, Allah has commanded us to seek guidance from the scholars in religious and worldly matters. Just as He states in part 17, Surah al-Ambiya, Verse 7:

فَسْــٴَـلُوْۤا اَهْلَ الذِّكْرِ اِنْ كُنْتُمْ لَا تَعْلَمُوْنَ(۷)

O people! Ask the people of knowledge if you do not know.[4]

Here is a summary of what has been mentioned in the commentary of this verse in Tafseer Sirat-ul-Jinan: In this verse, the people who do not know have been commanded to ask those who do know, as there is no other option for them. Doing this, they are able to have their important questions answered and their matters rectified. The antidote for ignorance is asking a scholar and acting upon his advice.

Allah Almighty states in His pure speech, the Quran:

اِنَّمَا یَخْشَى اللّٰهَ مِنْ عِبَادِهِ الْعُلَمٰٓؤُاؕ-

Only those amongst His bondsmen who possess knowledge fear Allah.[5]
