Hajj Kay Fazail or Is Kay Ahkamaat

Book Name:Hajj Kay Fazail or Is Kay Ahkamaat

Beware! Do not kiss or touch the blessed golden grilles, for this is against etiquette, as our hands are not worthy of touching the blessed golden grilles. Therefore, remain at a distance of four arm-lengths (two yards). Is it anything short of a great honour that the Beloved Prophet صَلَّى الـلّٰـهُ عَلَيْهِ وَاٰلِهٖ وَسَلَّم has called you close to his blessed chamber, and that his generous gaze is especially upon you?’ (Bahar-e-Shari’at, vol. 1, pp. 1224-1225, summarised)

Now, with respect and devotion, in an emotional voice that is neither so loud that it ruins your deeds nor too quiet, as this is also against the Sunnah, rather, in a moderate tone, present your Salam in these words:

Translation: May peace be upon you, O Prophet صَلَّى الـلّٰـهُ عَلَيْهِ وَاٰلِهٖ وَسَلَّم, and the mercy and blessings of Allah Almighty. Peace be upon you, O Messenger of Allah Peace be upon you, O best of Allah’s creation. Peace be upon you, O intercessor of the sinful. Peace be upon you, your family, your companions and all of your Ummah.

Imam Qastalani narrates the following: ‘Whosoever stands before the noble grave of the Beloved Prophet صَلَّى الـلّٰـهُ عَلَيْهِ وَاٰلِهٖ وَسَلَّم and recites this verse

(Part 22, Surah Al-Ahzaab, 56)

70 times, the angels reply by saying, ‘O so-and-so! May the mercy of Allah be upon you’, and no need of his remains unfulfilled.’ (Al-Mawahib-ul-Ladunniyyah, vol. 3, p. 412)
