Hajj Kay Fazail or Is Kay Ahkamaat

Book Name:Hajj Kay Fazail or Is Kay Ahkamaat

the Beloved Prophet صَلَّى الـلّٰـهُ عَلَيْهِ وَاٰلِهٖ وَسَلَّم. Then recite ‘بِسْم اللہ’ and place your right foot first and enter with utmost respect. The heart of every Muslim is aware of the etiquette and reverence that is required at that time; free the eyes, ears, tongue, hands, feet and heart of everything else. Do not look towards the engravings and embellishments of the sacred Masjid. If someone comes before you whom you must greet and speak to, then avoid it, if possible, otherwise, do not exceed what is necessary and keep your heart focused on the Beloved.’ (Bahar-e-Shari’at, vol. 1, p. 1223)

He رَحْمَةُ الـلّٰـهِ عَلَيْه further states: ‘(When you are close to the blessed shrine) Now with your head lowered in respect and devotion, your eyes cast down, shedding tears, trembling, full of regret upon your sins, with hope in the grace and mercy of the Beloved Prophet
صَلَّى الـلّٰـهُ عَلَيْهِ وَاٰلِهٖ وَسَلَّم, present yourself at the golden grilles at the blessed feet of the Beloved Prophet صَلَّى الـلّٰـهُ عَلَيْهِ وَاٰلِهٖ وَسَلَّم, for the Holy Prophet صَلَّى الـلّٰـهُ عَلَيْهِ وَاٰلِهٖ وَسَلَّم is resting in his luminous shrine with his noble face towards the Qiblah. If you enter from the side of the blessed feet, the refuge-providing gaze of the Beloved Prophet صَلَّى الـلّٰـهُ عَلَيْهِ وَاٰلِهٖ وَسَلَّم will be directly upon you, and alongside being a matter of tremendous delight, it is a means of your felicity in both worlds. (Bahar-e-Shari’at, vol. 1, p. 1224, summarised)

With your back towards the Qiblah, at a distance of at least four arm-lengths, stand and face the illuminated face of the Beloved Prophet صَلَّى الـلّٰـهُ عَلَيْهِ وَاٰلِهٖ وَسَلَّم with your hands tied as in Salah, for the etiquette mentioned in ‘Fatawa ‘Alamgeeri’ and others is, ‘یَقِفُ کَمَا یَقِفُ فِی الصَّلٰوۃ,’ i.e. ‘Stand in the court of the Beloved Prophet صَلَّى الـلّٰـهُ عَلَيْهِ وَاٰلِهٖ وَسَلَّم as you would stand in Salah.’ Remember! The Beloved Prophet صَلَّى الـلّٰـهُ عَلَيْهِ وَاٰلِهٖ وَسَلَّم is alive in his blessed grave just as he صَلَّى الـلّٰـهُ عَلَيْهِ وَاٰلِهٖ وَسَلَّم was alive in his physical life, and is also watching you, and in fact, is made aware of the thoughts that cross your heart.
