Imam Hasan Basri رَحْمَةُ الـلّٰـهِ عَلَيْه has stated: ‘the one who spends a thing which is beloved to him for the pleasure of Allah Almighty is included in the virtue of this verse, even if it is one date.’ (Tafseer Khaazin, Part 4, Surah Aal-e-Imran, under the verse 92, vol. 1, p. 272)

Brown sugar is beloved to me

Sayyiduna Umar Bin Abdul Aziz رَضِىَ الـلّٰـهُ عَـنْهُ would buy bags of brown sugar and give in Sadaqah. It was said to him: ‘why do you not donate its monetary amount instead?’ He replied, ‘I like brown-sugar, so I want to donate what is beloved to me in the way of Allah Almighty.’ (Tafseer Madarik, Part 4, Surah Aal-e-Imran, under the verse 92, p. 172)

The department ‘Al-Madinah Library’

سُـبْحٰـنَ الـلّٰــه! How great is the passion of our noble saints! They were always first in line to give in alms the things that they loved. However, these days, we do not give much Sadaqah (alms) at the first place, and if we do so, then we give the leftovers or things that we do not really like or things that cannot even be brought into use. If only we too are given the passion they possessed! May Allah عَزَّوَجَلَّ have mercy upon our state, allow us to donate our beloved things in His way, may He allow us to gain this passion by remaining attached to the religious environment of the religious movement of the devotees of the Prophet, Dawat-e-Islami, and grant us the ability to spread invitation to righteousness.

The religious movement of the devotees of the Prophet, Dawat-e-Islami, is working in over 80 departments in order to spread the invitation to righteousness. One of these departments is the department ‘Al-Madinah Library’. This department is responsible for establishing libraries in Faizan-e-Madinahs (not inside the actual Masjid, in other available areas), which cater for a study area and computers for people to listen to and watch audio and video speeches, Madani Muzakarahs, and Madani channel in a pleasant environment.

The written works of Ameer-e-Ahl-e-Sunnat دَامَـتْ بَـرَكَـاتُـهُـمُ الْـعَـالِـيَـهْ and the Islamic research centre on various topics are also kept there. May Allah Almighty
