upon the Beloved Prophet صَلَّى الـلّٰـهُ عَلَيْهِ وَاٰلِهٖ وَسَلَّم, as there are many virtues and blessings of reciting Salat. For example,

Blessings of Salat upon the Prophet صَلَّى الـلّٰـهُ عَلَيْهِ وَاٰلِهٖ وَسَلَّم

Through the blessings of Salat upon the Prophet, hearts are cleansed and sustenance becomes full of blessings, one receives ease on the bridge of Sirat and one will receive the intercession of the Beloved Prophet صَلَّى الـلّٰـهُ عَلَيْهِ وَاٰلِهٖ وَسَلَّم. Therefore, we should recite Salat upon the Prophet in abundance during this month.

صَلُّوۡا عَلَى الۡحَبِيۡب                 صَلَّى اللّٰهُ عَلٰى مُحَمَّد

Perform Nawafil acts in abundance

Dear Islamic brothers! We were hearing about many good deeds that are performed in the month of Rabi’-ul-Awwal. In the month of Rabi’-ul-Awwal, perform those actions which grant you closeness to Allah Almighty and His Beloved صَلَّى الـلّٰـهُ عَلَيْهِ وَاٰلِهٖ وَسَلَّم. One excellent way of doing this is by performing Nawafil acts in abundance. It is for this reason that our pious predecessors رَحِمَهُمُ الـلّٰـه would perform Nawafil acts in abundance, alongside their Faraid and Wajibat. Let us hear about some Nawafil acts of Rabi’-ul-Awwal and especially of the 12^th.

1.   On the first night of Rabi’-ul-Awwal, perform two Rak’at of Nafl after the Maghrib Salah in the following manner: In every Rak’ah, recite Surah al-Ikhlas 3 times after Surah al-Fatihah, and then recite this Durood 100 times after the Salam:

‘اَللّٰہُمَّ صَلِّ عَلٰی مُحَمَّدٍ وَّعَلٰی اٰلِ مُحَمَّدٍ وَّبَارِکْ وَسَلِّمْ بِرَحْمَتِکَ یَا اَرْحَمَ الرَّاحِمِیْن’

2.   With the intention of presenting the reward to the Beloved Prophet صَلَّى الـلّٰـهُ عَلَيْهِ وَاٰلِهٖ وَسَلَّم, on the 12^th of Rabi’-ul-Awwal, perform 20 Rak’at of Nafl Salah and in every Rak’ah, recite Surah al-Ikhlas 21 times after Surah al-
