3.   If a flag has an image of the Blessed Sandal or if something is written on it, make sure that it does not become small threads nor falls to the ground, also, when the month of Rabi’-ul-Awwal departs, take them down immediately. If you cannot observe caution and it results in disrespect, then only hang a plain flag. (Sag-e-Madinah also hangs a plain flag on his home).

4.   If it is possible, purchase 112 copies of the pamphlet ‘Jashn-e-Wiladat kay 12 Nikaat’, or at least 12 copies of it, and if possible, also purchase 12 copies of the booklet ‘Subh-e-Baharan’ [The Dawn of Blessings] from Maktaba-tul-Madinah and distribute them. Send them in particular to the leaders of those organisations who celebrate the Mawlid.

5.   Spend the 12th night in the Ijtima’-e-Milad, and take hold of the flags at the time of dawn, recite Durood-o-Salam and welcome the blessings of the dawn with tearful eyes. After the Fajr Salah, give Salam and Eid Mubarak whilst meeting each other with delight, and give Eid Mubarak and meet for Eid throughout the day.

6.   The Beloved Prophet صَلَّى الـلّٰـهُ عَلَيْهِ وَاٰلِهٖ وَسَلَّم would commemorate his birthday by fasting every Monday. In the remembrance of Mustafa, you should also fast on the 12th Rabi’-ul-Awwal and take part in the Mawlid precession with your flags in hand. Remain in Wudu for as long as possible. Adorn your lips with Na’t and Durood-o-Salam, and walk in a dignified manner with your gaze lowered. Do not cause a commotion and give people an opportunity to point their fingers.
