Sadqay ka Inaam | The Reward of Giving Sadaqah
She رَضِیَ الـلّٰـهُ تَـعَـالٰی عَـنْهَا was amazed at the amount, because the clothing she gave was not worth 60 dirhams. Therefore, she رَضِیَ الـلّٰـهُ تَـعَـالٰی عَـنْهَا inquired about the amount. Sayyiduna ‘Ali کَـرَّمَ الـلّٰـهُ تَـعَـالٰی وَجۡـھَـهُ الۡـکَـرِیۡم said, ‘I made a trade with Allah عَزَّوَجَلَّ by six dirhams which I spent in the path of Allah as Sadaqah (voluntarily charity) and He عَزَّوَجَلَّ returned me sixty in exchange of six.’
The following day Sayyiduna ‘Ali کَـرَّمَ الـلّٰـهُ تَـعَـالٰی وَجۡـھَـهُ الۡـکَـرِیۡم came to the Prophet of Rahmah صَلَّى اللهُ تَعَالٰى عَلَيْهِ وَاٰلِهٖ وَسَلَّم and told him what had transpired the previous day. The Holy Prophet صَلَّى اللهُ تَعَالٰى عَلَيْهِ وَاٰلِهٖ وَسَلَّم said, ‘O ‘Ali (رَضِىَ اللهُ تَعَالٰی عَـنْهُ)! Do you know the reality of what transpired yesterday?’ He رَضِىَ اللهُ تَعَالٰی عَـنْهُ replied, ‘وَ اللّٰهُ وَ رَسُوۡلُهٗ اَعۡلَم i.e. Allah عَزَّوَجَلَّ and His Beloved Rasool صَلَّى اللهُ تَعَالٰى عَلَيْهِ وَاٰلِهٖ وَسَلَّم know the best.’ Revealing the power of unseen knowledge (Ilm-e-Ghayb) our Beloved and Blessed Rasool صَلَّى اللهُ تَعَالٰى عَلَيْهِ وَاٰلِهٖ وَسَلَّم informed, ‘O ‘Ali (رَضِىَ اللهُ تَعَالٰی عَـنْهُ), the one who sold you the she-camel was Mikaail (عَـلَيْـهِ الـسَّـلَام) and one who bought it from you was Jibra`eel (عَـلَيْـهِ الـسَّـلَام), this she-camel which you bought and sold would be the riding animal of my daughter Khatoon-e-Jannat on the Day of Judgement. Dear Islamic brothers! As we have learnt about the generosity of Sayyiduna ‘Ali کَـرَّمَ الـلّٰـهُ تَـعَـالٰی وَجۡـھَـهُ الۡـکَـرِیۡم and the excellence of Ahl-e-Bayt رَضِىَ الـلّٰـهُ تَعَالٰی عَـنْهُم (the descendants of the Holy Prophet صَلَّى اللهُ تَعَالٰى عَلَيْهِ وَاٰلِهٖ وَسَلَّم), we also came to know about the importance of giving Sadaqah for the pleasure of Allah عَزَّوَجَلَّ.
