Khud Kushi ka Ilaj | Suicide is Not the Answer
4. Ease succeeds hardship
Imam Sha’rani رَحْمَةُ اللهِ تَعَالٰی عَلَيْه has quoted the saying of Ghaus-e-A’zam Shaykh ‘Abdul Qaadir Jeelani رَحْمَةُ اللهِ تَعَالٰی عَلَيْه in ‘Tabqat-e-Kubra’, ‘In the beginning I was made to suffer great hardships and when the hardships reached a climax, I leaned in agitation on the ground and two Ayahs of the Holy Quran got invoked on my tongue:
فَاِنَّ مَعَ الۡعُسۡرِ یُسۡرًا ۙ﴿۵﴾ اِنَّ مَعَ الۡعُسۡرِ یُسۡرًا ؕ﴿۶﴾
So, indeed with hardship lies ease. Indeed with hardship lies ease.
[Kanz-ul-Iman (Translation of Quran)] (Part 30, Alam-Nashrah, Ayahs 5, 6)
اَلْـحَمْـدُ لـِلّٰـه عَزَّوَجَلَّ! By virtue of these holy Ayahs my hardships died out.’ The misery stricken or a patient should lean on the ground on the spur of the moment, imitating the conduct of Ghaus-e-A’zam Shaykh ‘Abdul Qaadir Jeelani رَحْمَةُ اللهِ تَعَالٰی عَلَيْه and recite the Ayahs 5 and 6 of Surah Alam-Nashrah. If Allah عَزَّوَجَلَّ wills, by virtue of Ghaus-e-A’zam ‘Shaykh Abdul Qaadir Jeelani رَحْمَةُ اللهِ تَعَالٰی عَلَيْه, his hardship will turn into ease.
Mayri mushkilaun ko Tu aasan ker day
Mayray Ghaus ka wasitah Ya Ilahi
(O Allah عَزَّوَجَلَّ! For the sake of my Ghaus! Turn my hardships into ease.)
