A companion رَضِىَ اللهُ تَعَالٰی عَـنْهُ once humbly said, ‘Yā Rasūlallāĥ صَلَّى اللهُ تَعَالٰى عَلَيْهِ وَاٰلِهٖ وَسَلَّم! The world has turned its back to me.’ The Beloved Prophet صَلَّى اللهُ تَعَالٰى عَلَيْهِ وَاٰلِهٖ وَسَلَّم said, ‘Do you not remember the Tasbīḥ which is the Tasbīḥ of angels and all creation, by virtue of which sustenance is given? At the break of dawn (Ṣubḥ-e-Ṣādiq), recite this Tasbīḥ 100 times:
سُبْحٰنَ اللّٰهِ وَبِحَمْدِه، سُبْحٰنَ اللّٰهِ الْعَظِيْمِ، اَسْتَغْفِرُ اللّٰه
The world will come to you disgraced.’ That companion رَضِىَ اللهُ تَعَالٰی عَـنْهُ then left. After some time he came again and humbly said, ‘Yā Rasūlallāĥ صَلَّى اللهُ تَعَالٰى عَلَيْهِ وَاٰلِهٖ وَسَلَّم! The world came to me so abundantly that I am astonished where to pick it up and where to put it!’ (Al-Khaṣāis-ul-Kubrā, vol. 2, pp. 299)
A’lā Ḥaḍrat رَحْمَةُ اللهِ تَعَالٰی عَلَيْه has said, ‘The recitation of this Tasbīḥ should be done at the break of dawn (Ṣubḥ-e-Ṣādiq), otherwise before Fajr. When the Jamā’at of Fajr starts, one should join it and then complete the number after the Jamā’at. The day when it is not recited before Ṣalāĥ, it can be recited before sunrise.
