Anyway, those having relations with worldly personalities or arranging for someone to talk to them on phone know their intentions; who are we to decide what their intention is! We should have a positive and good assumption about them because it is necessary to have a good assumption about what a Muslim has done.
A’lā Ḥaḍrat Imām-e-Aĥl-e-Sunnat, reviver of religion, Maulānā Shāĥ Imām Aḥmad Razā Khān عَـلَيْهِ رَحْـمَةُ الْـمَـنَّان has stated, ‘It is Wājib to have a good assumption about a Muslim as long as possible. A bad suspicion is no less Ḥarām than ostentation.’ (Fatāwā Razawiyyaĥ, vol. 5, pp. 324)
A’lā Ḥaḍrat رَحْمَةُ اللهِ تَعَالٰی عَلَيْه has further stated: As long as possible, it is Wājib to have a good assumption about what a Muslim has done. (ibid, vol. 19, pp. 691)
Good assumption about those not keeping their promise
