اَلْحَمْدُ لِلّٰہِ رَبِّ الْعٰلَمِیْنَ وَ الصَّلٰوۃُ وَالسَّلَامُ عَلٰی سَیِّدِ الْمُرْسَلِیْنَ ط
اَمَّا بَعْدُ فَاَعُوْذُ بِاللّٰہِ مِنَ الشَّیْطٰنِ الرَّجِیْمِ ط بِسْمِ اللہِ الرَّحْمٰنِ الرَّ حِیْم ط
13 Intentions for Reading this Book
The Holy Prophet صَلَّى الـلّٰـهُ تَـعَـالٰى عَـلَيْـهِ وَاٰلـِهٖ وَسَـلَّم has stated: نِيَّةُ الۡمُؤۡمِنِ خَيۡرٌ مِّنۡ عَمَلِهٖ ‘The intention of a Muslim is better than his deed.’

Two Madanī pearls
*Without a good intention, no reward is granted for a righteous deed.
*The more righteous intentions one makes, the greater reward he will attain.

1-4. Every time I read this book, I will start by reciting Ḥamd1, Ṣalāt2, Ta’awwūż3 and Tasmiyyaĥ4 (by reading the Arabic lines given at the top of this page you will be acting on all these four intentions).
۔5To the best of my ability, I will read it whilst in the state of Wuḍū and
۔6facing the Qiblaĥ.
۔7I will behold the Quranic verses,
۔8and the blessed Aḥādīš
