Bughz-o-Keena | Malice And Hatred
You will bear malice & grudge
It is narrated by Sayyidunā Ḥasan رَضِىَ اللهُ تَعَالٰی عَـنْهُ, that once the most Beloved and Blessed Prophet صَلَّى اللهُ تَعَالٰى عَلَيْهِ وَاٰلِهٖ وَسَلَّم came to the Aṣḥāb-e-Ṣuffaĥ رَضِىَ الـلّٰـهُ تَعَالٰی عَـنْهُم and said, ‘How did your morning begin?’ They said, ‘With goodness and benevolence.’ The Noble Prophet صَلَّى اللهُ تَعَالٰى عَلَيْهِ وَاٰلِهٖ وَسَلَّم stated, ‘Today you are better than (the upcoming time) when a big bowl of meal will be brought to you in the morning and another one in the evening. And you will be decorating your home with curtains same as the Ka’baĥ is covered by the coverings.’
The Aṣḥāb-e-Ṣuffaĥ[1] رَضِىَ الـلّٰـهُ تَعَالٰی عَـنْهُم respectfully said, ‘Yā Rasūlallāĥ صَلَّى اللهُ تَعَالٰى عَلَيْهِ وَاٰلِهٖ وَسَلَّم! Will we be blessed with these bounties while sticking to our religion?’ ‘Yes’ said the Holy Prophet صَلَّى اللهُ تَعَالٰى عَلَيْهِ وَاٰلِهٖ وَسَلَّم. They said, ‘We will then be better off because we would be charitable (giving Ṣadaqaĥ & Khayrāt) and will be freeing slaves.’ He صَلَّى اللهُ تَعَالٰى عَلَيْهِ وَاٰلِهٖ وَسَلَّم said, ‘لَا بَلۡ اَنۡتُمُ الۡيَوۡمَ خَيۡرٌ اِنَّكُمۡ اِذَا طَلَبۡتُمُوۡهَا تَقَاطَعۡتُمۡ وَتَحَاسَدۡتُمۡ وَتَدَابَرۡتُمۡ وَتَبَاغَضۡتُمۡ’ No! You are better today because you will become jealous of one another when you get such bounties, you will bear malice and enmity with adversity of severed mutual relations. [1] The blessed companions رَضِىَ الـلّٰـهُ تَعَالٰی عَـنْهُم endeavoured to meet the necessities of life as well as they used to receive religious education from the Mu’allim-e-A’ẓam – the most Beloved and Blessed Prophet صَلَّى اللهُ تَعَالٰى عَلَيْهِ وَاٰلِهٖ وَسَلَّم but there were 60 to 70 companions from different areas who kept staying as guests of the Noble Prophet صَلَّى اللهُ تَعَالٰى عَلَيْهِ وَاٰلِهٖ وَسَلَّم in order to acquire religious education in the blessed company of the Beloved Prophet صَلَّى اللهُ تَعَالٰى عَلَيْهِ وَاٰلِهٖ وَسَلَّم. Their place of residence was a raised tidy platform made of clay called Ṣuffaĥ in Arabic by the Masjid-un-Nabawī, which is why these great companions of angelic nature are called ‘Aṣḥāb-e-Ṣuffaĥ’. Sayyidunā Abū Ĥurayraĥ رَضِىَ اللهُ تَعَالٰی عَـنْهُ was also one of these fortunate people who is the famous reporter of most Aḥādīš. The Blessed Prophet صَلَّى اللهُ تَعَالٰى عَلَيْهِ وَاٰلِهٖ وَسَلَّم was the only guardian to bear all their expenditures. (Derived from: Mirāt-ul-Manājīḥ Sharaḥ Mishkāt-ul-Maṣābīḥ, vol. 7, pp. 35)
